One of the recent streams included the hearings of the suo motu case regarding the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape and murder incident. However, it appears that the hackers have now made the previous hearing videos private. Currently, a blank video titled "Brad Garlinghouse: Ripple Responds To The SEC's $2 Billion Fine! XRP PRICE PREDICTION" is being shown on the hacked channel.
This kind of hacking, where popular video channels are targeted by scammers, is not uncommon. Ripple itself had earlier taken legal action against YouTube, accusing it of not doing enough to prevent hackers from impersonating Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse.
After Hacking Supream Courts YouTube Channel
According to a report by The Verge, scammers have been creating fake accounts that seem official, using names like Ripple or Garlinghouse. In some cases, these scammers hijack successful YouTuber accounts, allowing them to gain hundreds of thousands of subscribers. They then post videos that promise large XRP rewards in exchange for smaller initial payments, tricking viewers into thinking they’re watching an official Ripple channel.
Sources have said that the Supreme Court’s administration is now investigating the hacking of their YouTube channel.
