After a recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Google CEO Sundar Pichai expressed admiration for the Prime Minister’s vision, especially regarding India’s approach to artificial intelligence (AI).
PM Modi recently returned from a three-day trip to the United States, during which he met with several prominent tech CEOs in New York. Following this interaction, Sundar Pichai commended PM Modi for his efforts to develop AI and his commitment to advancing technology and digital projects in India.
Pichai noted, “The Prime Minister, with his Digital India vision, is focused on transforming the country. He has inspired us to continue designing and manufacturing in India. PM Modi is also thinking about how AI can greatly benefit the Indian population. He constantly pushes us to aim higher.”
At the same event, PM Modi also held discussions with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, a key figure in AI computing. Huang praised Modi’s strong interest in AI, saying, “Modi is an exceptional learner of technology, always curious about how AI can unlock new capabilities and opportunities for India, and how it will affect the nation’s society and industries.” He also highlighted India’s reputation as a global hub of technological expertise, particularly in the field of computer science.
The Modi government has been actively promoting technological advancements while focusing on improving India’s digital infrastructure. Through the Digital India initiative, the government is prioritizing AI with the goal of modernizing the country’s infrastructure, boosting the economy, and making technology widely accessible. This vision has attracted major global tech companies like Google and NVIDIA. PM Modi is seeking partnerships to further advance India’s digital and ai potential.
