The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the NEET UG re-exam results. The re-exam was held for 1,563 affected candidates on June 23, and the results are now available on [exams.nta.ac.in](https://exams.nta.ac.in). Following this, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to commence the counselling process soon.
Recently, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), investigating alleged irregularities in the NEET UG exam, arrested the owner of a private school in Godhra, Gujarat. The operation, according to PTI, began in the morning and spanned across four districts: Anand, Kheda, Ahmedabad, and Godhra.
Earlier arrests included the Oasis School Principal and NEET exam District Coordinator, Ehsanul Haq, Vice Principal Imtiyaz Alam, and another individual, on charges of tampering with question papers in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh. These individuals were interrogated for hours regarding the alleged misconduct in the NEET UG 2024 exam.
Additionally, the Special CBI Court in Patna had previously remanded two accused in the NEET question paper leak case, Chintu Kumar and Mukesh Kumar, to CBI custody for three days.
On the political front, both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned until July 1, 2024, following opposition protests demanding a debate on the NEET UG 2024 issues. President Droupadi Murmu addressed the paper leak incident in a recent joint session of Parliament, emphasizing the government's commitment to a thorough investigation and stringent punishment for those found guilty.
