Juhi Chawla recently shared an interesting story about Shah Rukh Khan's early days in the film industry. Both co-owners of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and frequent co-stars in the 1990s and early 2000s, Juhi has closely witnessed Shah Rukh’s rise to fame.
Speaking at an event hosted by the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Juhi reminisced about the time when Shah Rukh had just moved to Mumbai from his hometown Delhi and didn’t have a place to stay. “Shah Rukh didn't have a home in Mumbai back then. He would stay wherever he could, have tea and meals with the film crew, and worked tirelessly, often doing 2-3 shifts a day. He was juggling multiple projects like 'Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman,' 'Dil Aashna Hai,' and 'Deewana' simultaneously,” she recalled.
Juhi also remembered an incident where Shah Rukh’s black Gypsy was teken because he couldn’t pay the EMI. “He came to the set looking very dejected. I told him, ‘Don’t worry, you’ll have many more cars one day.’ And he still remembers that because it's true. Look at him today,” she added.

Today, Shah Rukh Khan owns several luxury cars and a palatial, sea-facing bungalow named Mannat in Bandra, Mumbai. Interestingly, the plot of Mannat appears in the background of their film "Yes Boss" in the song "Chaand Taare."
Shah Rukh and Juhi have shared the screen in several films, including Yash Chopra's "Darr" (1993), Mahesh Bhatt's "Duplicate" (1998), Rajiv Mehra's "Ram Jaane" (1995), Aziz Mirza's "Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani" (2000), and Shashilal K Nair's "One 2 Ka 4" (2001).
They also co-founded the production house Dreamz Unlimited with Aziz Mirza in the early 2000s. Shah Rukh later established his own studio, Red Chillies Entertainment. He will be next seen in the film "King," while Juhi was last seen in "The Railway Men."
