Bihar Government Jobs 2024: Ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's announcement to provide government jobs to over 1.2 million youths has gained momentum.
The General Administration Department, under the Chief Minister, has instructed all departments to provide information based on vacancies as soon as possible, following the clearance of the roster, so that appointment letters for government jobs can be distributed to more than 300,000 people in August.
300,000 Youths to Get Jobs in August
This includes appointment letters related to the requests sent to various commissions for 227,000 appointments. Information on vacancies has been sought from all departments, and in light of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's announcement, appointment letters will be distributed at a ceremony.
An official at the Chief Secretary level of the Bihar government has confirmed that work on the campaign to provide jobs to 1.2 million people has intensified.
Chief Minister Announced 1.2 Million Jobs on June 17
Sources indicate that on June 17, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced the provision of 1.2 million government jobs within a year. On July 3, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will distribute appointment letters to 10,000 people at the Bapu Sabhagar in the capital, Patna. There are 7,200 vacant positions in the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department, 6,689 in the Science, Technology, and Technical Education Department, and 6,458 in the Food and Consumer Protection Department.
