Innovative AI-Powered Features
Solos, renowned for its smart glasses, has recently introduced the AirGo Vision, a new pair of smart glasses powered by OpenAI’s latest large language model (LLM) – GPT-4o. These glasses offer the flexibility to switch between AI models, including GPT-4o, Gemini, and Claude, and feature a detachable camera for added convenience.
Functionality and Features
Despite the camera being detachable, the AirGo Vision maintains its AI-powered functionalities through audio input. This allows users to continue accessing features like getting directions, summarizing shopping lists, and asking for recipes. The smart glasses also come with swappable frames, enabling users to easily remove the camera when it’s not needed.
Photo Capability Without Video Recording
While the AirGo Vision allows users to take photos using voice commands, similar to Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses, it lacks a video recording feature. The glasses include an LED notification light in the frame, which serves as an indicator for messages and can also function as a flash for taking photos.
Unique Design and Compatibility
One distinctive aspect of the AirGo Vision is the placement of the camera on the arm of the glasses rather than integrated into the frame. The glasses are compatible with popular AI models like Gemini and Claude, providing a variety of functionalities based on what the user is looking at.
Availability and Pricing
The Solos AirGo Vision is set to launch later this year, with the exact release date and pricing yet to be announced. However, the LED-only frames will be available for purchase next month on the company’s website for $249.99 (approximately Rs 20,840) in three different styles.
