approximately 70 flights operated by Vistara Airlines might face cancellations today, April 2nd. This could lead to significant inconvenience for travelers.
Once again, Vistara Airlines has had to cancel several flights today. Media sources indicate that the company has canceled five flights from New Delhi, three from Bangalore, and two from Kolkata. The airline is struggling with a shortage of pilots and other operational issues. There's a possibility that around 70 flights could be canceled today, adding to the travelers' inconvenience.
Vistara Airlines has released a statement explaining the reasons behind these cancellations. Reports suggest that the company has already canceled more than 50 flights since April 1st, with almost 160 flights experiencing delays.
Notably, Vistara Airlines is a part of the Tata Group, which has proposed a merger with another Tata Group airline, Air India. Speculation is rife that this merger proposal might be contributing to the high number of flight cancellations by Vistara Airlines.
The airline mentioned, "Due to various reasons, especially a shortage of crew, we've had to cancel a significant number of flights recently and experienced delays in many others. Consequently, we've decided to reduce the number of flights in our network to ensure better connectivity."
