Since Holi, the heat has been getting stronger. March 2024 has turned out to be the hottest in the last five years. When the temperature rose above 40 degrees Celsius, people started feeling anxious, and there's no sign of relief from the scorching heat.
In Agra, since Holi, the sun has been making its presence felt with the temperature crossing 40 degrees Celsius on Thursday. Although clouds might cover the sky on Friday due to a western disturbance, there's no relief expected from the high temperatures. The weather department suggests a possibility of light rainfall on Saturday.
This year, the weather seems quite different. March, typically a calm month, has seen intense heat, with temperatures exceeding 36 degrees Celsius even before Holi. Thursday saw the sun's rays scorching throughout the day, accompanied by hot winds.
Despite the forecast of clouds on Friday, there's little hope for relief from the heat. Saturday might bring strong winds and light rain, with a slight decrease in temperatures predicted by Dr. Sandeep Singh of the RBS College of Agricultural Sciences, Meteorological Department. However, temperatures are expected to rise again in the first week of April.
