The central government has provided significant relief to the general public by reducing petrol and diesel prices by 2 rupees per liter. The reduced prices came into effect nationwide from 6 a.m. on Friday.
Following this decision by the government, petrol and diesel prices have decreased in all states of the country. Before the central government's decision, the Rajasthan government had announced a 4 percent reduction in VAT on petrol and diesel prices. As a result, petrol has become cheaper by 1.40 rupees to 5.30 rupees, while diesel has become cheaper by 1.34 rupees to 4.85 rupees.
In Jaipur city of Rajasthan, today, i.e., on March 15, the price of petrol has decreased from 108.83 to 104.88 rupees per liter. Meanwhile, the price of diesel has decreased from 94.04 rupees per liter to 90.36 rupees per liter.
