India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates recently had discussions covering a range of topics, mainly focusing on technology. Education, healthcare, and agriculture were also important points of discussion.
Before the G20 Summit in India, Prime Minister Modi mentioned having extensive talks which led to positive results. He highlighted various developments during the summit, emphasizing India's alignment with the G20's core objectives and efforts to prioritize them.
During the discussion, PM Modi expressed concerns about the potential dangers of trusting AI, especially when it's given to untrained individuals. He proposed starting with clear watermarks on AI-generated content to prevent misuse, stressing that in democratic nations like India, even deepfakes can be created by anyone. He cautioned against lazily trusting AI and stressed the need to embrace AI advancements, even suggesting competing with ChatGPT.
In response, Bill Gates acknowledged that these are early days for AI. He explained that while AI can make difficult tasks easier, it may struggle with tasks that humans find easy.
