Prominent figures, including Tarun Chugh, Union Minister Arjun Munda, and the party’s state in-charge Biplab Kumar Deb, are present in the crucial legislative meeting of the BJP, which is underway with attendance from all 41 BJP MLAs.
Anticipated discussions involve five independent MLAs and Gopal Kanda from the HLP, who support the BJP-led government.
The 90-member Haryana Assembly requires a majority of 46, and the BJP, with 41 MLAs and support from six independent MLAs, holds a strong position. Gopal Kanda, the sole HLP legislator, is also in support of the BJP. In the event of JJP withdrawal, the BJP would still have the backing of 48 MLAs, ensuring smooth governance.
The assembly includes 30 Congress MLAs, 10 from the JJP, one MLA from the INLD, and another independent legislator. The pivotal role in sustaining the BJP government is poised for six independent MLAs: Nayan Pal Rawat, Dharampal Gonder, Randhir Singh Golan, Rakesh Daultabad, Ranjit Singh, and Sombeer Sangwan.
