Once again, the weather has shifted gears in Chhattisgarh. Wispy clouds are floating above Raipur, the capital, and other parts of the state. We might feel the effects of another western disturbance.
Today, there's a chance of light to moderate rain in many areas of Raipur and across the state on Sunday.
The weather is set to change again due to a western disturbance. We could see some light to moderate rain in various parts, including Raipur. Thankfully, clouds have rolled in since morning, offering some relief from the scorching heat.
The weather department doesn't anticipate significant changes in maximum temperatures for the next five days, or in minimum temperatures for the next two days. However, we might notice a slight drop in minimum temperatures later on. Expect maximum temperatures to hover around 40 degrees Celsius in central districts.
We might also experience thunderstorms and lightning in a few places. A weather expert explained that a cyclonic circulation is affecting northern Chhattisgarh and nearby areas. This atmospheric setup, combined with upper-level winds from Tamil Nadu, is altering our weather. There's a chance of light rain in some areas and the possibility of thunderstorms in others.
Despite the changing weather, the heat persists. Rajnandgaon remains the hottest spot, hitting a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius. Conversely, Ambikapur recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 21.5 degrees Celsius. Raipur saw a maximum temperature of 39.5 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius, a bit higher than usual.
